Sharp Communications Ltd is a private company, formed in June 2002 and has since created a sound and successful business history. Sharp Communications was created to increase focus and resource in the specialist area of Structured Cabling and IT Infrastructure within the Auckland market. We are a specialist Communications Services Provider, with proven experience installing large-scale complex projects. The SCL Management Team is also extremely experienced at working within the construction industry environment.

As an industry leader Sharp Communications has proven Project Management Processes that enable the company to complete large scale projects throughout New Zealand and the Asia-Pac region.

Sharp Communications Ltd also provides a comprehensive range of connectivity solutions from various other product vendors.

We have extensive expertise in the area of fibre optics, both multi mode and single mode and our team currently supports the Waitemata and Counties Manukau District Health Boards, which has one of New Zealand’s largest and most comprehensive computer network with some 25 kilometres of fibre optic cabling.

Base building infrastructure as part of major high-rise building or campus projects requires specialist network installations for telecommunications services. Sharp Communications Ltd provides extensive consultancy services to ensure our customers achieve comprehensive communications cabling network coverage in order to maximise the future flexibility of their building.

Upon Project completion, Sharp Communications Ltd customers are provided with a comprehensive Operations and Maintenance manual, which provides full details of their chosen structured cabling solution. The manual includes a vendor Product Warranty and Application Assurance and is designed to provide our client with a written set of system specifications that details the types of applications the designed system will support, and to what limits. Full sets of network outlet drawings are provided along with schematic diagrams depicting campus network infrastructure.

Sharp Communications Ltd is a business partner and offers the following advantages:

  • Consultative approach to design and installation services.
  • Network infrastructure and cabling becomes a seamless part of your communication services for your business activities.
  • Product Warranty and Application Assurances offered in conjunction with our product suppliers.
  • Fixed unit or time and materials cost schedule for Moves, Adds and Changes (MAC's) can be negotiated on a site by site basis.
  • Larger installations and major projects are offered by fixed price quotation or negotiated contract.
  • Preferred Supplier Agreements offer additional concessions and can be negotiated for 1 to 3 years.
  • A Project Manager will be assigned and act as the one point of contact for all Projects, and will spend a scheduled (as required) amount of time per week liaising with project based staff in order to fully manage and co-ordinate these installations
  • Sharp Communications Ltd via its CAD service can provide as built plans and drawings on the completion of installations.
  • Out of normal business hours coverage can be catered for to suit client schedules and dead lines.
  • Provision of value added services for example; mains power installation, the supply and installation of power protection devices and liaison with Network providers for the provision of ISDN, DDS and all other PSTN services.
